β β β β β I canβt believe someone wrote a review using my name (C.K. Thomsen).
I would never classify Amity as 1 star, because I am very happy with everything I have seen and with the things my children have learned and experienced there.
It is an amazing school! It exceeds my expectations every day!

β β β β β We have been so pleased with the education our two children are receiving at Amity. The dedication and passion of the teachers come shining through each and every day. My children come home smiling and chatting happily about their day. The school has worked hard to adjust to the challenges of these Covid circumstances and has continued to deliver solid coursework even during times of distance learning. We couldnβt be happier with our choice!

β β β β β Vibrant, warm and welcoming international school in a beautiful spacious location. Easily accessible from Amsterdam, Amstelveen and surrounding area. Itβs a young school but has an ambitious, dedicated core of fantastic teachers. Our move here has been so much easier because we chose Amity. Highly recommend.

β β β β β A young, expat friendly international school. High teacher to student ratio and decent facilities. Follows IB curriculum. My kid loves going to school.

β β β β β Amity is a fabulous school. The enthusiasm of the teachers is infectious, and this is reflected in the motivation of the students who see Amity very much as 'their' school, creating a sense of pride in their learning. The collaboration between the school, students and parents forms a family friendly atmosphere, with a great supportive, community feel.
The curriculum is engaging, teaching real world situations, which I think gives them a great foundation for life after education. I never expected to be having conversations with my 10 year old about global issues!
The building itself is full of natural light, spacious, and surrounded by nature.
Teaching is often extended into the beautiful surrounding grounds/ woodland, learning not only about nature, but incorporating Maths, science, art, orienteering, ....! Learning has no walls!

β β β β β Amity is a small and under-resourced school with few facilities. They do no have enough students in many of the grades, which means they are unable to cover their costs and thus have minimal teaching resources and donβt even have their own gym or sports field. Given the schoolβs financial under-resourcing, they cannot support children who might need extra learning support, so be very careful about sending your child here if they need any sort of support in adjusting to a new language, new country, or switching from a different educational system. In a word: abysmal and best avoided. Luckily, Amsterdam has some excellent alternatives, in particular the British School and ISA.
