β β β β β Niet bepaald een betrouwbare makelaar. Bod gedaan op een schip en vervolgens niets meer van gehoord. Zelf maar even gebeld, ze waren me vergeten. Schip ondertussen verkocht. Zeer onzorgvuldig!!!
Not exactly a reliable broker. Bid made on a ship and then heard nothing. Just a call, they had forgotten me. Ship meanwhile sold. Very careless !!!

Klasse Bach !
I'm happy with Bach Yachting. Selling a boat abroad is a complex process, especially the paper shop and the inspections that are involved. Jascha Bach and Liesbeth Groeneveld have sold our ship to full satisfaction and have managed the entire process in the right direction. We are still in contact with the buyer of our ship because he is very happy with the ship. That is something more than a 'cold' deal. Class Bach!

Bach Yachting dept. in Split had a Jeannau 54 for sale in 2015. The boat was well maintained and appeared almost unused. I had little knowledge about Croatian business but was reassured when I realized that Bach Yachting was a Member of the Dutch Association of Sworn Shipbrokers, EMCI & HISWA and when its Split department appeared as a sales office.
Before signing the contract, I questioned its legal qualities but was told that it was a standard contract and there had never been any problems relating to it. The contract was signed and full purchase payment was sent to Bach's ESCROW account in Holland, one month before contractβs decay on 20th June. Bach's representative gave approval that I immediately could start supplementary purchase of equipment to the boat, tickets for the entire summer season, conducting survey, maritime courses etc.
The day before I flew to Split to takeover the boat, I got a text message from Bach Yachting in Split, saying that the seller has withdrawn from the contract and that seller attorneys claimed this was possible thanks to the contract. I was surprised and disappointed and repeatedly sent emails to Mr. Bach asking him to take measures to secure my boat before contractual decay on 20th June, but did not get any answer from him.
The 22th of June I got an email from Mr. Bach where he disclaimed all his liabilities and said that his company was not responsible. He informed that I must take the contract breach to court in Croatia and asked for my account number so that he could reverse the purchase payment - without giving me any information that by doing so I will lose the right to prosecute the seller.
Later during a meeting with a Bach representative in Split I became enlightened the he had purchased the Bach Yachting Split office on 20th June, the same day my purchase was to be fulfilled. He also stated that Mr. Bach considered the sale as completed and said that Bach Yachting would require full commission from the seller. On my repeated requests to Mr. Bach, asking who he considers as the owner of the boat, he refused to answer. Instead of answering, Bachβs Split representative asked me not to contact Mr. Bach because of various circumstances, which I respected.
Unsure what to do, I contacted a profiled law firm in Zagreb which concluded that the seller was still probably owning the right to the boat and that the contract was anyway so poorly designed that they didnβt recommend a judicial process. So here the case came to a dead end with an owner who refused to respond and me without the boat and with no possibility to claim the boat legally, and economic losses of more than 16,000 euro.
Bach Yacthing is a high-profile Ship broker and I expected the highest level of professionalism, but my experiences became a nightmare and its actions seem closer to an American soap opera than a serious ship broker and a Member of the Dutch Association of Sworn Shipbrokers.

β β β β β Buying your new boat there feels definitely like a little party. If you want to have a fast boat talk to that guys. They will help you out with what ever issue you will come up.
I only had some issues in the planning of my visit there. But the guy on site fixed that very quickly

β β β β β I purchased a demo (almost new) Grand Soleil 46 LC from Bach Yachting in Lelystad to bring her down to France. Many add on options had to be installed, tested and validated and the entire process had to managed remotely since I live far away from Lelystad. This complex and lengthly process (it took 3 months to make the boat from new to sailable) was superbly managed by the Bach Yachting team in a highly professional and super responsive manner. For example, I could only test the boat on week-ends and I had immediate technical support even on Sundays. Another example is that I used a French financing scheme to purchase the boat and that took a lot of administrative effort from Bach to make it work with the French bank.
Trust is also super important when you purchase a boat in a foreign country plus I do not speak Dutch. My personal experience is that this dealer has high work ethics. I give my highest recommendation and thank you to Jascha, Liesbeth, Tomas, Gerwin & Erwin from Bach Yachting. Very happy customer :-)
