Man erfährt viel über die Insel im Weltkrieg, über die Besatzungszeit und die Befreiung. Well-kept museum in a real world war bunker. The exhibits are mostly found objects from the island, presented with great care and attention to detail. You can learn a lot about the island during the World War, about the occupation and the liberation.

Het wordt gerund door vrijwilligers en is helaas alleen op zondagmiddag en woensdagmiddag geopend. Er zijn ook opnames van bewoners via video's te bekijken. Doen als je de kans hebt!! The Schlei bunker museum is a beautifully laid out museum that is still completely furnished as it was used in the war. It is run by volunteers and is unfortunately only open on Sunday afternoon and Wednesday afternoon. You can also view recordings of residents via videos. Do it if you have the chance !!

Unfortunately the museum was closed. Individual bunkers could be explored in this way. With information boards

Die zijn vrij toegankelijk. O.a. Wasserman. Mooie uitzichten daar. Small, informative museum in a bunker. Note the opening times. The museum is open for a limited time. Nearby are a few more bunkers. They are freely accessible. i.a. Wasserman. Nice views there.

Was interesting that most of the German commanders were regular men, not professional military, and got along well with the locals. All except for the last one.
