★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When I visited Almere Stad around 30 years ago, this whole site was still a flatland, with a railway station out of nowhere. I remember taking a train from here to Amsterdam.
Anyhow, it is now the present day, 2017, this site has become Almere City Mall. Awesome and smart development, if I may say so. The mall design is fun, good looking, and convenient, since it is reachable by bus, train, and also by car. There are lots of parking space available.
I visited this mall a few times more than I needed because the train station (Almere Centrum) is one of the bigger ones, where you can catch an intercity train.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a beautiful city center. If you can't find something to buy in this huge shopping center then you're too picky! Lol... There's even a grocery store or two so if you're running late you can pick dinner up. Enjoy shopping!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This open-air shopping mall in Almere is quite laid back and relaxed, I personally like this place quite a lot. There are many restaurants which offer all type of cuisines throughout centrum for both vegetarians/vegans or meat eaters. There are many shops which you can shop from, all type of clothes both more expensive ones and cheaper options aswel. Overall this place is quite nice and I rated it 4 out of 5 for the reasons I have said below. Very nice place and would recommend to people in Almere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Strictly speaking the City Mall of Almere would only be the area designed by Rem Koolhaas (with the fronts looking like terracotta coloured sediment layers), but the surrounding area is also really enjoyable, including both markets.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very complete. Plus it's by the bay. Double your coat on winter as it gets really chilly here. Wide stores to choose from and it's near the train station. (Oriental Mart is a plus)
