About De Boem Kringloopwinkel Binderij

I love it because I could drop off my things easily there and they accept everything on the spot. Very easy transaction.

A thrift store meaning they gets the stuff as gifts from the pre-owner and sell second hand stuff for affordable prices and thereby recycle lots of usable stuff. Contributing to a sustainable society.

Contacted them two weeks ago about picking up our old couch. We just got a new one and I still loved the old one, but wasn’t sure whether they would want it. Spoke to them twice, sent them pictures, gave them a detailed description and they let me know they would pick it up today. Kept the couch in our living room the whole time, kept it clean and took the afternoon off. They just came round, looked at the couch, started talking to each other (β€œwhat do you think” and β€œI don’t know”) and then it dawned on me: they weren’t going to take it with them! And they kept asking me: who exactly did you talk to, and we will be sure to reprimand them. Omg, I kept that couch for two weeks and took the afternoon off because I genuinely thought someone else might still like it. I could have gotten rid of it weeks ago. Amazingly unreliable; I was absolutely gobsmacked.

These people do a good job. Support them! A good alternative to throwing away stuff that could have another life. Their initiative is good for the environment, gives jobs to those without, and allows less fortunate people to buy re-usable things at an affordable price.

Used to be a company for good. Now they became β€œrich” and picky, helping only themselves. They refuse perfect furniture and throw the things you leave at the afval in the trash. So many people would benefit from getting those things, it’s cruel.
