β β β β β I received a fine between the time the car was parked and the keys were dropped off. This was followed by an incasso as I did not pay it immediately while trying to dispute the fine with the goverment first.
Richmond at Diks Autoverhuur called me to apologize for the inconvenience and how things went at first, and assured me that they would refund me the amount for both the fine and the incasso.
Very good customer service in the end!
And I can add that picking up the car and dropping it off went smoothly.

β β β β β With great satisfaction I have been a regular at the Diks location Zwijgerlaan for at least 15 years.
The team on site combine a professional attitude with a very empathic customer approach.
The very few times that there were glitches they immediately put in there best efforts to find a most suitable solution, even when understaffed on rush hours.
Great bunch and very comforting site atmosphere!!

β β β β β UPDATE BELOW: After we returned the car and paid for parking, they sent me an invoice saying the car was not returned properly and I would have to pay expensive parking and late fees, but the date they listed was before the date we even ordered the car... so they were charging me for someone elseβs reservation. After trying to explain this to them on the phone, they said they would look at the issue and call me back, which they never did now two weeks later. Then someone finally called me telling me I was 100% correct and that they completely messed up the reservations. They said I will still have to receive the parking ticket in the mail, but that I can then forward it to them and they will pay it. They then tried to get me to delete my comment here.
Update: It has been over a month, I have moved apartments so I don't even know if the ticket has been mailed to me. I am still getting emails from them at least once a week to tell me I have an overdue invoice!! I have now spoken to three employees who have all assured me this mixup will be handled and they are STILL trying to charge me!

β β β β β Nice and almost new vehicles for a fair price. Good service and polite and welcoming staff. The location in West it's just perfect. Big parking lot and easy connection to come back.

β β β β β Pro: Affordable, Customer Focussed Followup, well maintained cars.
Initially had issues with incorrect invoices, and reached out to them by email. This email was unfortunately missed on their side. After noting this in a review here, they pro-actively called me and wanted to solve the problems I had. They did ask me to reach out by phone next time I had any issues, so they can directly solve them, which I shouldβve done initially.
Iβll be back!

-you get a van and it is fairly modern and doesn't brake down
Bad:
-ask for a 11mΒ² van and get an 'upgrade' to a 22mΒ² van that is impossible to manoeuvre or park in Amsterdam, because there wasn't available the vehicle we reserved. There is also an obvious extra cost involved for the higher fuel consumption.
-have to pay for parking once you return the vehicle as they don't provide a parking for their vehicles
-vehicle not properly cleaned inside with empty plastic cups in the cabin pockets and rubbish in the loading area

β β β β β Fast service, reliable vehicle. Friendly transportation. I was in and out of the office in 10 mins with the van prepared. The van was clean and felt sturdy. It rode perfect. Dropping the keys off was easy. Will use this company again.

My online reservation at de pijp was not honored and someone transferred my reservation to this location over the phone. When returning the van, the location closed before closing hours that day, so I left the van parked in front, next to a similarly parked van. I had no idea about the paid parking, and received no instruction or warning from the front desk about it. I received an email a week later informing me of a parking ticket and with the extra admin fee. Not happy at all about this. Unfortunately, you'll need to "read the fine print" with this business.
