Nice shops include cheese and fish shops, but also a bakery and Albert Heijn.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm from Chicago where we have CTA and Metra trains. These trains and train stations in Amsterdam are top notch. I really like seeing so many trains running on a Sunday.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Have traveled from this station over several decades. Though protected from the rain, you will be exposed to wind and cold as you wait for your delayed train. There is coffee available at the shop downstairs. On the plus-side: there is now a secure bicycle parking, which is (momentarily at least) free (access with your ATM card).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice and on-time. Sometimes they had problem with the train, but they will provide bus for free as an alternate.
Don’t forget to tap your card to the checkin machine, they put it upstair near the stair. Its small so sometimes we don’t recognize it.
