★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Standaard station. Voor de NS niks bijzonders, maar wel een koffie hoek en je kan er je haar laten doen. Ziet er gezellig uit.
Standard station. Nothing special for the NS, but a coffee corner and you can have your hair done. Looks cozy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stand-alone station. Simpel. Ov fietsen 4st. Niet echt met koffie. Gesloten als ik er langs ga = weekend. Kom er sinds 1970; af en toe dus. Maar wel fijn dat ie er altijd stopt: de trein.
Stand-alone station. Easy. Ov bicycles 4pcs. Not really with coffee. Closed when I pass by = weekend. Been there since 1970; so now and then. But nice that it always stops there: the train.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hoogkarspel is a small station between Hoorn and Enkhuizen. Good transport links into Amsterdam, Utrecht and Heerlen. On site there is a toilet, cafe and even a hair salon. There is a massive amount of free parking for both cycles and cars and provides a good alternative to Grootebroek and Hoorn for local travelers.
