About Intratuin Utrecht
Intratuin is ontstaan toen acht ondernemers in 1980 hun krachten bundelden. Ze waren slim, ambitieus en een tikkeltje eigenwijs. ΓΓ©n ding hadden ze gemeen: een uitgesproken visie. Daarom besloten ze om gezamenlijk te gaan inkopen. Dit werd een succes en de volgende stap werd gezet: een uniforme verkoopformule. Samen maakten ze promotie onder de naam Intratuin, en de groep van ondernemers werd steeds groter.
Deze groep groeit vandaag de dag nog steeds. Ook in België en Duitsland openen we steeds meer nieuwe winkels. Op dit moment zijn er 69 vestigingen, waarvan 55 in Nederland, 3 in België en 11 in Duitsland. Intratuin is een soft franchise formule. De vestigingen worden gefaciliteerd door het servicekantoor in Woerden, een distributiecentrum voor hardwaren in Venlo en een distributiecentrum voor groen in Aalsmeer.
Alle winkels beslaan samen een oppervlak van ruim 464.000 m2 ofwel zo’n 93 voetbalvelden. Er werken meer dan 3.300 medewerkers, die in totaal zo’n 80.000 verschillende artikelen verkopen aan 12.500.000 klanten.

β β β β β How is it possible that you have birds (macaws and flamingos) locked inside a store? I do not understand what is the purpose of keeping animals out of their habitat. You are violating the rights of those animals, which should be free in their natural environment instead.

β β β β β Location is strange, driving up to it and walking around I felt bad for the houses around. I can't imagine living there and having these intratuin customers around all the time. That's why this will probably not become our go to Intratuin.
But on the other hand.. they have a tiny piece of paradise inside with real flamingoes and parrots. That makes this place superawesome again.

β β β β β Got my monstera deliciosa from Intratuin. It was infested with thrips which I found months later and now it's almost dead along with another plant which was sitting next to it. :(

Has very nice cafe inside and small playground for kids. Oh and few parrots and flamingos :)

β β β β β Pretty good garden centre, quite a large availability and friendly personel, unfortunately there is a animal cruelty corner with 3 flamingos that live in a unsustainable environment. I would return if I would not have to watch the animal cruelty during my shopping.

β β β β β Well equipped garden centre. They have basically all you need to build or maintain a beautiful yard! Prices are good and they have seasonal sales, which is really worth checking out! I love all the plants and flowers there. They have inner decoration that covers from classic till modern trend items. Really nice place to shop around!

β β β β β This place is gorgeous! In fact itβs so gorgeous I guarantee it uplifts your mood! I spent over two hours exploring every part and I could spend another two hours if I had time. There is also a kids playground and a bar inside.
Staff is super helpful. If (like me) you are new to gardening and flowers, they would patiently help you find what suits your needs.
