D	Debra Clarke on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Libertine Petit Cafe boasts a prime position on the Noordermarkt, perfect for sunny afternoons watching the world go by. However, the perfectly-pitched terrace is where the fun ends. Step inside on a weeknight and the restaurant is generally empty and soulless, with staff outnumbering customers. Step inside on a busy weekend and prepare to be largely ignored by the staff. I loved this place for a while, but a recent and steep decline in service has been its downfall. There are plenty of other terraces in Amsterdam to while away a sunny afternoon - and plenty more where your custom might actually mean something.
C	Coen Warmer on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Interior looks fantastic, nice atmosphere. That’s however where the fun ends. Waiter is slow, delivers us the wrong coffees, forgets one drink, leaves out sugar, then after reminding him that we take sugar with our coffee manages to forget it again. Observing him we are struck that after this performance he still doesn’t deem it necessary to take down orders on pen paper with any customer. We proceed to wait for 45+ minutes for our order. During this time, not a single order leaves the kitchen. We throw in the towel and walk away. Shame. Such potential, much wasted.

This is actually the second time I go, the first time, I left cause the staff was really unwelcome (the point on contracting cheap / young staff is that they never commit with their job). This second time we stated but service was in the same line and the food (we were 3 people) was not better. The location is good but that is all...
