Welkom!

an extremely weird temporary exhibition β€œparasites” about rock bands; lovely garden that really in need for more care; of course great amount of stuffed animals.. and dinosaurs ?!

They had beautiful specimens, sadly they didn't give a lot of background. The signs next to each piece were small and didn't have a lot of information about it. Most of the museum is about where each item was found. Not about the animals themselves. Also a few to many stuffed animals for my taste. Some in bad shape, the stitches were then very visible.

A very nice, small museum. We really enjoyed the combination of global and local prehistory. However, it has not really been covid-proofed (lots of plastic props for children, pushbuttons etc).

Nice museum to visit. Many details about nature including extinct and exist animals, big and small sizes. They also have temporary exhibition, it was about insect photography when I went.

Small museum, but certainly a must see in the town. In a cozy atmosphere you could enjoy a nice collection within permanent, temporary exhibitions and outside. The specialty of museum is ancient animals found very close by to Maastricht - mammoths and dinos. It is a nice visit for both children and adults. Small souvenir shop is available.

Small museum in a beautiful building. It's worth a visit on a nice day just to look around the area even though the museum does feel a bit out dated and run down at times. Most of the interactive parts of the exhibit were out of order. Child friendly, there's a crawl space for kids and there were some windows and ocular pieces at small child height. All of the signs are in Dutch but I do believe they have some audio tours in other languages.

The exhibition is really nice but unfortunately there are no English translations of the texts around the museum. Hard to follow for non-Dutch speakers.

A really nice small museum. The only downside is that all the info is in duch so, as a tourist you won’t understand a lot.
