Marina is a friendly family owned restaurant where you're served respect, and love through their food

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Two stars for the effort. I really like Suriname food, but what we got as take away here was just disappointing. Two portions of roti which combined would barely make one. Chicken was old / not tasty and the green beans were missing (replaced with some coal salad and carrot). Maybe it was a one time incident, but we’re not going back anytime.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As other reviewers mentioned portions are ridiculously small. I had a brood bakkeljauw for 4 euro which basically was a pistolet (most common sandwich here in NL) of 30 cents from Albert Hein and 20 cents, at most, of bakkeljauw.. All in all it was a nice rip off. Taste is not bad, but quantity are so small you better go somewhere or you will feel cheated!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We ordered a veg rotirol and it was superdry, old, absolutely not fresh but from the freezer and pretty greasy. I specifically asked if the roti was fresh. It was full of potatoes with a few pieces of kouseband. Which is typically cheap to serve like that.
The veg soato tasted like a soup made out of stock cubes, def not cooked with fresh herbs and vegetables. The veg pom was greasy, came from the freezer and had dry pieces of deepfried tofu in it. And last but not least, the veg roti vegetables were a disaster(abd roti again dry,old and greasy). It consist of a few veggies tossed in a hindustani massala, way too strong and topped with deep fried tempeh. I really didnt expected this and it was not cheap. As a suriname-hindustani family we do know how this food should taste like. The veggie stuff at least is very gross. We didnt want our toddler to eat such old food so we threw it away:(Never coming back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best Roti Roll in town!! We love to go get lunch and I really recommend the Baka-Bana and their other vegetarian options! The food is prepared in the moment, so I recommend to pre-order before picking it up! The service is great and very polite!
