β β β β β A wonderful experience with the staff of this hotel! I wanted to surprise my husband who happened to stay at this hotel on his big 40th birthday, away from family and friends (his job requires him to be away a lot). The staff there made it a mission to help me organise a little surprise for him, which was highly appreciated! Thank you Eefke and Robin!

β β β β β Nice hotel, clean, very modern and very kind staff. Very good breakfast. You can reach schipol airport by train very quick, only one stop and with a cost of 2.5 eu. Train station is situated just 5 min walking distance from hotel.

β β β β β First all the good stuff: Nice, modern venue. Good location next to the train station with direct trains to Schiphol and Amsterdam Central. Great breakfast and a small play area for the kids next to the restaurant. Comfortable beds. Unbeatable price.
Overall we had a good stay but I canβt give 5 starts due to a couple of things that annoyed me:
* The babycot and kids beds were not ready when we arrived at 10pm so we had to wait for someone to bring them.
* On booking.com it says the hotel has electric vehicle chargers. This does not appear to be the case. There are a few in the garage next to the hotel but those donβt work/I could not activate/donβt appear to be for the public. The lady at the reception didnβt know anything about that. I did find chargers in another parking garage nearby but feel like this could be handled better.
* The hotel offers some nice online features: Like online checkin and entering credit card details for a faster checkout. In practice that caused more confusion than it helped.

β β β β β Itβs my favourite place to stay while in Hoofddorp. Simple, clean, efficient and nice breakfast, lunches, dinner and little pub. Staff is sometimes confused but always cheerful and ready to help.

β β β β β Very slow staff at the cafΓ©. Had to pay when we got the beers because they didn't trust us. Forgot part of the order, still took 20 minutes to make it right. Would not recommend

β β β β β If I could stand next to THAT window all day, all night: I absolutely would. I loved the airplanes landing, taking off and I would try to read whatβs written on them. The world is a BIG place & lots more to explore & hence I wonβt come to NL. But, the awesome memories of the window, the lollipop (given to my kid by the reception lady) the shower that really really wakes you up from your sleep - are forever etched.

β β β β β No pool for a 4 stars hotel. No water waiting in the room, nothing in the fridge. Free Lavazza coffee in the room waiting only if you are lucky, no refill the second day.
Rooms and bathrooms are big and comfortable to stay and sleep.
Still nice waiting, reading, working areas downstairs. Good breakfast and restaurant for dinner.
8.95euro for a draft 0.5l beer at the bar does not encourage you to stay too long.

β β β β β I used to stay at this Novotel for work quite a lot.
Though I haven't been there since Sept due to C19.
I was dissapointed this time unfort. I had to change the room at 11.30pm as no water in mine (that could happen), I was not offered a free drink as it used to be for Silver, the guy at the bar was really rude, especially with women, rooms were not so clean.
I will keep on going there but really hope next experience will be better.
