β β β β β Almost 2 years ago we moved from Spain to the Netherlands.
Before we arrived I was worried how my children will adapt to a new school.
Will they find new friends?
Will they be happy?
Will they get the best possible education while enjoying learning and coming to school?
YES ?
When they started at OIS it only took them a few days to feel completely settled and comfortable.
They love OIS and have achieved so many wonderful skills there.
Very friendly and high standard teachers.
Great organisation and communication.
Variety of beneficial after school activities.
Beautiful new location!
We highly recommend OIS.

β β β β β New International School in Hoofddorp. Easily accessible by Public transport. They are growing and improving a lot every day, which is highly appreciable. Kudos for doing so much hard work to start from scratch. School is really working hard to help the kids to learn and make them the best. Keep up the good work.
If you are looking for international School in Hoofddorp, then this is the school.

β β β β β Optimist International School is a great place for kids. The educational methods used here are engaging for kids. Kids love to go to school day after day with more enthusiasm. It's well connected to public transport,
All the teaching staff are friendly and helpful to answer any of the parent's questions. They provide apt feedback in parent-teacher meetings. The school itself is growing but school is improving with Scale.
Kids also are friendly and enjoy their times together. Kids skills are improving.
Kids come from various countries across the world providing a different perspective to the same topics.
They are a new school but provide a lot of after school activities directly supported by the school. Which we appreciate a Lot. Some of the examples are:
1. Swimming classes
2. Guitar Classes
3. Scratch Programming
4. Art lessons
5. Dutch classes for kids
any many more.. just get in touch you will be surprised...
We thank Optimist management, teaching staff, and support staff for the efforts they are putting in and making this a possibility.
We Highly Recommend OIS for a school in and around Hoofddorp.
Regards
Lakshmi Segu

β β β β β Optimist International school is a truly International in nature by having kids belongs to different culture speaks different language and came from different continental i.e. from Asia, Europe, USA etc. but all are studying , playing and having fun together like pearls in a beautiful necklace of Optimist International School. I like enthusiasm and positive attitudes of teachers and other staff of this school. They are eager to give their best to kids. Teachers are very professional to identify strength and area of improvements of a kid and they put their hard efforts to motivate and encourage kids for their continuous improvement in a very interesting and easy way. I have experience of sending my kid in other International schools as well e.g. British school of Amsterdam, AICS School Amsterdam but I can say that this school is the best. I am glad that I got "Optimist International School" for my son. Thanks to the management for arranging such a amazing learning , sportive environment and teachers for our kids. Management team always well communicate and actively engage parents to discuss about growth of kids , school's new initiatives etc. Complement to all school staffs for the effort they are putting for the complete development of our kids.
Regards,

β β β β β The school year 2020 / 21 is slowly but steadily approaching its last phase and this review serves my wish to express our sincere gratitude for the past 8 months which were for us the first encounter with Optimist International School. The OIS team has indeed provided a positive and meaningful learning environment for our little ones and it is absolutely amazing to see the joy, the eagerness and the appetite to learn and grow in the kidsβ eyes when we bring them to school in the morning. Each afternoon and evening, great learning stories and wonderful stories of ever-growing friendships among the group leave all of us parents with a good feeling that we rightfully chose Optimist International School as our desired place for educating our children.
With this commonly-shared observation in mind, I am sending this review to share our and our kidsβ feedback about Miss Shannon who is dearly and utterly loved by Group 1B and who deserves the deepest and most heartfelt respect from the parents and caretakers.
At the young age of 4, in a new country, partially with no English language skills, the first school day had certainly been an exciting one for our children. Lots of different feelings had come to mind, not least anxiousness. What would the new school be like? Will I make new friends?
For all children, the reality of being a member of Group 1B is simple on the surface: endless fun, a fantastic group spirit, a strong sense of belonging and so much to learn, explore and discover. But we as parents and caretakers do appreciate that it takes Miss Shannon, and also Miss Aoife, a lot of hard work, effort and dedication to create this learning and development environment. Whenever there is a question, a concern or just a wish to share some feedback: Miss Shannon dedicates her time to us, just as seemingly easy as she enables our children to bring out their inner magic every day at school.
During the lockdown period, she continued her brilliant job and for the past 1 Β½ months ever since the OISβ doors reopened our kids love their Monday to Friday school routine almost more than the weekends when the school doors are locked.
Brilliant school, we highly recommend

β β β β β Optimist International School is a warm and welcoming place. We noticed it from day one! Our kids love to go there. It's their second home and in this atmosphere you learn best! Among the things which positively impressed us the most we want to highlight the customized level of education and support each kid get based on their specific skills and needs. We think that's a very crucial factor for an international school where kids are joining the school coming from different countries with different backgrounds, educational level and skills.
We highly recommend the OIS.

β β β β β I had spoken to Principal at Optimist about my child back in 2019. She was well informed that my child has ADHD and then she readily accepted him. We got him to Optimist from India in 2021 and she promised to evaluate him for 5 weeks as she said the school does not have facilities for special kids. But within a week of starting his classes she turned him down leaving him with no schooling for the whole year.
If your child is a special child this is not the right place.
