Ontstaan In Den Uiver
In den Uiver is ontstaan toen in 1981 een ex-KLM-purser de voormalige vishandel heeft ingericht als Proeflokaal en heeft vernoemd naar de legendarische DC-2 “De Uiver” (Ooievaar).
“De Uiver” is het KLM toestel dat in 1934 de luchtrace van Londen naar Melbourne won.

Clean, enough room for groups and friendly service.
The only con I can really think of is that it's popular. Which means ya cannot always find a seat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rated the best café of Haarlem in 2017. This place has a truly unique and cosy atmosphere. They have quite some craft beers on draft and serve excellent snacks. If your on the search for more craft beers you might want to have a look at "Uiver". It's just around the corner towards "Toneelschuur".

Beautiful antique and stylish interior and great hospitality with easy tasting incl. info before ordering the right genever (the original gin!).
Nice beers on draft as well!
