★ ★ ★ ★ ★ De oudste delen van de Sint-Lambertuskerk stammen uit het einde van de veertiende eeuw. Deze hallenkerk is gebouwd op de plaats waar sinds de tiende eeuw een kleine kerk stond. De originele toren van de kerk is aan het einde van de negentiende eeuw vervangen door de huidige neogotische toren. Deze toren is een kopie van de toren van de Munster van Freiburg in de Duitse stad Freiburg im Breisgau. In Nederland zijn ook enkele kopieën van deze toren te vinden. Deze toren is één van de weinige torens in Europa die nog iedere avond wordt bewaakt door een torenwachter. Iedere avond van 21:00 tot 24:00 met uitzondering van de dinsdag wordt de toren bewaakt en blaast de torenwachter ieder half uur op zijn hoorn.
 The oldest parts of the Saint Lambert Church date from the end of the fourteenth century. This hall church was built on the site of a small church since the tenth century. The original tower of the church was replaced at the end of the nineteenth century by the current neo-Gothic tower. This tower is a copy of the tower of the Freiburg Minster in the German city of Freiburg im Breisgau. A few copies of this tower can also be found in the Netherlands. This tower is one of the few towers in Europe that is still guarded every evening by a tower guard. Every evening from 9:00 PM to midnight, except Tuesday, the tower is guarded and the tower keeper blows his horn every half hour.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The bells ring every day for 10 minutes from 8.40 to 8.50???????? Are you kidding? We are students that study all day and if we want to sleep on Saturday and Sunday we have to be woken up by these bells? Is it possible to do something to avoid this disgrace?
