About WOODSTONE Pizza and Wine Haarlem
Dat was de zin die Penny uitsprak op één van de vele ‘pizza and wine’ avondjes in het tuinhuisje waar ze woonden. Omdat Penny in Engeland moest werken zag ze haar kersverse man Oscar maar één keer in de zes weken. De momenten die ze samen hadden begonnen altijd met een ‘pizza and wine’ avond. Aan een tafel gemaakt van twee wijnkratten bespraken ze waar ze van droomden in het leven.
In die tijd van de eindjes aan elkaar knopen kwamen ze tot de conclusie dat er niet veel nodig was om onbezorgd je dromen in het leven te bespreken. Een lekkere pizza, een goed glas wijn, een tafel om aan de zitten en goed gezelschap is al genoeg. Iedereen verdient zo’n onbezorgd ‘pizza and wine’ moment.
Later in een gesprek met Oscar’s broer, Ronald, dachten ze “hoe mooi zou het zijn om een restaurant op deze principes te bouwen?” En zo was WOODSTONE Pizza and Wine geboren.
Inmiddels hebben meer dan één miljoen mensen deze WOODSTONE beleving kunnen ervaren.

Only drawback is we called to reserve a table but we couldn't as they don't have any table reservation system and in the end we had to wait 30 mins beforw being seated

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had the pepperoni pizza and the spring salad, and well the only thing I can say about both is they are a must must have. This is by far one of the best pizzas I’ve had, it had the right amount of sauce, it had the perfect base, the only thing which could be altered is have softer and thinner pepperoni slices instead of the ones they put which were a little rubbery. The salad was really well made however the vinegar in the salad could be a little lesser than what they had put. That is the only reason I have this place 4 stars and not 5. Also please note the vintage of the wine mentioned on the menu might not be same as what they have in stock so please check with them first if you are looking for same vintage.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Whenever my husband and so make time to go back to Haarlem we always make sure to go back to Woodstone. This restaurant is easy to find and once you are inside you’ll see the massive stone oven they have. The atmosphere and decorations in this restaurant are quaint and make you feel right at home. The staff is also super friendly and helpful when arriving and taking our orders.
For starters we ordered the Woodstone garlic bread which had the perfect amount of garlic butter. We also ordered these breadsticks with a delicious cheese sauce on the side but I forgot the name of this dish.
For mains we ordered two pasta dishes, Pollo Pesto and Pappardelle Crema which were both some of the best pasta dishes either of us have had. We also both shared a side salad that was a bit bitter for our liking.
Overall this place is amazing and I would defiantly come back here the next time I’m in Haarlem.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to grab wood oven baked pizza. The authentic flavor is delicious. We had the large fornese pizza and bread board to share. Quick and friendly service. The location is very convenient to get by public transport and there is a car park close by too. Overall a good experience.Tip: No outside food is allowed on there premises.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The service was good, interior and atmosphere is also good, but the food is so so. Quattro Formaggi pizza had a lot of tomato sauce in it so you could barely taste cheese. Pappardelle was without any taste so even salt and pepper didn't fix the situation.
