De zee houdt de Friezen van oudsher bezig. Hij vormt een grens die dreigt en beschermt, en biedt tegelijkertijd geweldige kansen. Bevaar hem en vindt nieuwe schatten, gooi je net uit en vang verse vis, bouw een haven en ontvang mensen uit alle hoeken van de wereld om handel mee te drijven. Zelfs de Vikingen wisten Friesland te vinden en waren met hun rijkdom een graag geziene gast.

 Sloten is a beautiful town. One of the Frisian Eleven Cities. The image regarding Cultural Capital 2018 (Leeuwarden in mienskip with the whole of Friesland) should be your taste.

We go regularly to feed whey here in the village or if a small town too nice friends people everybody greets you as a tourist destination for all and families. Lots of beautiful restaurants and shops

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sloten is genomineerd voor de leukste vestingstad van Nederland. Dit kan zo maar gebeuren omdat dit stadje nog vrij authentiek is met de boogbruggen, een kanon, een molen en de kades met van die mooie bomen.
Sloten has been nominated for the nicest fortified city in the Netherlands. This can easily happen because this town is still quite authentic with the arch bridges, a cannon, a mill and the quays with those beautiful trees.
