β β β β β First time we tried this restaurant.
First of all, we ordered our food, and my friend, who cannot eat spicy food at ALL, ordered a dish asking specifically NOT to have it spicy.
In the meantime, we also ordered some soft drinks (coke, fanta, etc.). While waiting we also ordered tap water for everybody. The waitress arrived with one bottle of tap water. When we asked if we could also have additional glasses, since the one we used were dirty, they told us (in a very rude way) it was not possible because they only had two glasses left in the kitchen. They didn't even tell us "we can bring you only two". So we had to use the previous glasses which had coke flavor and lime in it, so not a great start.
When the food arrived we were surprised by the small portion of bread/pancake for 5 people but we started eating.
My friend immediately noticed her plate was spicy and called the waiter/waitress to complain it was spicy although she previously specified not to be spicy. She said she was gonna be back. Then another waiter arrived and asked if she wanted yogurt to add on top so "it could be less spicy". My friend said she didn't want yogurt.
In the meantime she was waiting without eating, the rest of us started eating, because it was taking a while and the food was getting cold.
After something like 20 min till the moment they served us the food, the owner came and told us, in a very rude way that If it was too spicy for her she didn't have to eat and pay for it, and then he left.
My friend never asked not to pay as her only concern was to eat and she was expecting, as any other restaurant, to have another not spicy portion. Clearly they didn't take us seriously with our complained and never bother on finding a real solution.
Very bad customer service.
Never again!

β β β β β One of my favourites restaurants in Amsterdam. A different food experience (I am Spanish). Great food (consider that could be a bit spicy). Wonderful service. Amazing decoration. Nice prices. Truly recommend!!!

β β β β β The food was so delicious and better quality than most things you can find in Amsterdam! If youβre looking for a unique taste and surroundings near Centraal, this is the place to go! It was pretty quiet when we went on New Years Day, so Iβm not sure if a reservation is necessary. The service was great and friendly, and the decor was really fun! Make sure you wash your hands properly before eating because youβll use your hands to eat as no cutlery is provided. The only downside was the Ethiopian wine we tried, that was really not good.

β β β β β This is so far my favorite of the Ethiopian restaurants in the area (I have tried all but 1 in the vicinity). The portions are generous and the flavors and spice level are on point. The ambiance is comfortable and homey. I like that they had some red wines from Ethiopia available to go with the food, I hadn't tried it before. Overall recommended.

β β β β β This is a very good Abyssinian restaurant at the Ceintuurbaan. You can have here a lot of traditional Abyssinian food. I had some very delcious vegeterian food and it was tasting wonderful. the service is very kind and helpful. So it was a great joy for me. At all i will come again.

β β β β β The food and service was amazing. For drinks we had the banana and mango beer which was so good and for food we asked the server what he would recommend and it definitely didn't disappoint. We got to taste a little bit of everything and the vibe of the restaurant was also really nice. Definitely recommend!
