Best composite repair training in Europe! I needed a career change after 8 years of 'computer-work' and thought that maybe with my university background (BSc Mechanical Engineering) and some serious training with a good composite repair training company could help me boost my CV. (Read on if you want to know how it all ended up!) ACRATS not only designed a taylor-made and customized 'Training Plan' consisting of several composite courses such as: Helicopter Main and Tail Rotor Blade Inspection and Repair, Advanced Composite, Manufacturing, Inspection and Repair Level 1 & 2 and Radome Inspection and Repair (Airbus A320 and Cessna Citation 650), besides that I built an helicopter blade from scratch inspired on a real Chinook blade and took an introductory course of Sheet Metal Repair while getting the feeling on the riveting machine, countersinking and metal folding technique. Besides these courses, I also took two online courses that were very engaging and entertaining to read. Courses were "Foreign Object Damage" and "Human Factors" that you can take them with you everywhere as they are in a buil-tin app! After 1 month of intensive training I realised that I learned more skills with Rick and Dave than I could have ever imagined. I also met a lot of people from around the world, Austria, Seychelles, Kenya, Greece. I also had very good food at the Canteen (Fokker-GKN/Aviolaanda) which is 5 minutes from ACRATS facilities! Oh yeah, forgot to mention....before finishing my last training course I got a job offer. Now working there and loving it! If you are looking for composite repair training or maybe thinking about making a career change towards composites/aerospace...ACRATS is the place to go, by far!

The instructors have a lot of experience and taught us how to identify and treat problems in composite materials as well as with sheet metal. Very helpful for our working days. They have all the resources to permit us to learn the best way we can. Thank you ACRATS!

I attended in customized comprehensive SRM training. These were 3 great days, consisting of a total of 8 hour theory - case studies of structure related issues from aircraft (Fokker / Boeing / Airbus / Embraer) daily operation and the following 16 hours (8 for the sheetmetal and 8 for the composites) of really hands-on practice of basic skills in specialized ACRATS practical training facility. Great thanks to Dave and Rick for their long years experience and valuable knowledge that they gave me and which I now apply on a daily basis in the line maintenance. I hope, I will have an opportunity to take a part in further specialized training in ACRATS in my future career.

Hi everyone my name is Haled padayachy and I from the Seychelles, I was luck enough to have taken a course for sheet metal and composite which includes inspection,processing and repairs. I had the chance to understand and use different kind of methods required to be a good and successful structural engineer. I've been expose to a lot of practical tasks which I feel have built huge confidence in myself that I know will help me while performing my work back home. During these three weeks I've been at ACRATS I can honestly say that I've truly learned a lot and I owe a huge thanks too David and Rick Van Opdorp. These two persons were my instructors at the training and I can honestly say that they really know how to get the best out of you even when your struggling or even frustrated and I'm talking of what I have experience these three weeks.David and Rick are very friendly and have a lot of patience in taking their time and making sure everything is clear and understandable. And the most important part they made me feel welcomed and comfortable in their city where I felt at home and it was pretty easy to focus in classes and never get distracted at anytime. I truly appreciate the knowledge and skills obtained during this course from both David and Rick but most importantly the hospitality I've received and as David would always say after a project "PERFECT ". So I would truly recommend the ACRATS training shcool too anyone how is considering a course you will truly appreciate the time and effort after the courses and that is my personal view and I'm looking forward in coming back to continue further studies,so please don't hesitate.?

I Just completed my training about Composite: Manufacturing, Inspection and repair, level 1. Many thanks to Mr Rick Van Opdorp for the chance he gave me to follow his course and expand my knowledge about composite materials. He is very helpful and patient, he doesn't say no to show you something more, to explain you and answer your enquiries. During the training, I enjoyed myself and I felt creative. I feel I gained some kind of experience about basic practices on composite materials. I am looking forward to following more trainings in ACRATS in the nearest future. I definitely recommend ACRATS to anyone who wishes to be a future Composite Technician.

Undergone Aircraft sheet metal and composites structures training from ACRATS. Both the trainers Mr. Rick and Van have immense knowledge on the subject they are training and I learnt a lot from them.
