Adam's boats - Mauritskade 3a

If you are quickly reading the reviews, all I can say is you absolutely must rent a boat. What a fantastic experience! After a couple of days in Amsterdam you can't help notice the sheer amount of boats travelling through the canals. We looked at our options and considered a regular cruise on one of the larger boats before looking into renting a boat - and we are so glad we did! After passing on the pedalos we found Adam's Boats. The booking process was very simple - we did so online as it is the only way to do it. At first, this would not work for me (using an iPhone with Google Chrome) so we used my friend's Android device to book and it worked perfectly. We then booked a taxi to take us there. It worked out at about £13-14 per person for our group of six, which is next to nothing. Notes: There IS a Metro which takes you here, and you have to walk about five minutes from the station. We did this on our return, and it was fine but time wasn't on our side on the way there. We had booked for two hours on the boat and we could have stayed longer and it would have been taken from the deposit but we had things to do later. Upon arrival we were greeted by someone who talked us over the controls etc and gave us a map. He was very helpful and polite, and spoke great English. 'Captaining' the boat is very easy and takes very little time to get used to. None of us had any particular experience with boating but we got the hang of it in no time at all. You start off in the marina and then travel down the Amstel river - it is quiet and wide here and allows you to get to grips with the boat before getting into the narrower and more populated canals. We were in a group of six and there was plenty of space, easily room for more. I notice another review states they had nine. All in all, the whole experience was fantastic from the booking to the return. Boating through the canals, especially on a quieter day like the Tuesday we did, was incredibly peaceful. My only complaint is that we did not book for longer. We could easily have been out on the water for twice, three times as long. When I return to Amsterdam I shall definitely be visiting Adam's Boats again.

Cruising the Amsterdam canals on a boat is one of the most unique experiences Amsterdam has to offer. It is every time great, a fabulous experience we enjoy to repeat every year and share with friends. Adam's boat is a fantastic and affordable way to do it. Highly recommended.

Sailing through the canals of Amsterdam is a great and unique way to experience the city! Adam's boats make it so easy to do with a fair price and great customer service to answer any questions you may have. Just book online and on the day of sailing someone is available to help you prep the boat and then your off! Would highly recommend and we will certainly be back!

Great experience! The staff had the boat ready for us at pickup time and made sure that we had everything that we needed. The boat handled very well and is much easier to control than sloeps that do not have a steering wheel. I will be renting from Adams Boat again in the near future.

Had used Adam Boats for couple of times already. Sometimes, we had an issue with the boat but the team was always nice and service oriented. Went beyond their way to make the experience great again.

Perfect! Very easy going. You make a reservation ahead, get an email and a code to unlock the boat. There was also somebody who gave us some instructions and a map (with toilets marked). The boat was easy to navigate and clean. We are coming back soon. :)

Second time rented a boat from these guys. The service is great and the boats work well, not to mention the wonderful experience we had cruising through the channels. I recommend it to anyone who is not afraid of all the other traffic in the city on weekends:-)

The boats are good, 8 ppl fir perfectly. Easy to rent, easy to park, super friendly stuff. My fav boat rental in Amsterdam.
