★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The biggest/busiest Albert Heijn of Groningen, but you barely notice it, because everything is so well organized. I especially love the new system in which you don't have to wait in cue before you pay to leave the shop: you can get a scanner to scan your products while shopping, or scan your products yourself at the exit.
The product I love the most are the weekendbollen, the ones with raisins, always delicious and they never get old.
The only thing I don't understand is why there is a sushi bar in the shop...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This supermarket is a 'hidden' gem if you don't live in the area. Very large, but easy to find everything. There is even freshly prepared sushi. Plenty of parking spots.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good AH XL. They have a sushi corner and a large general assortiment. It can get very busy and packed around noon and 5-6 so avoid those times if you don't like that. Parking is free for 1.5 hrs outside.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really big store which (most likely) has everything you need. There's a cool sushi bar where they make fresh sushi and other Asian cuisine.
Large selection of fresh vegetables and fried combined with a large bread area.
This store offers scanners with which you can scan and pay all your good yourself.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good supermarket, with a good selection of food and drink (no spirits - you have to use the store opposite). The staff are very friendly. AH does bit accept visa annoyingly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Large space, large selection of products, fresh produce and services. Like all AH supermarkets they have excellent discounts. Staff seems friendly enough and professional. Not often crowded and always space at the self-checkout. Plenty of parking space for cars but at rush hour there are just enough bicycle spots. They have a Sushi bar for freshly made takeaway sushi!
