Very clean and well-arranged shop with a wide range of products. Kind of pricey.

Not what it used to be. I dont like going here anymore. The paths are now set so that everytime someone is blocking them. And this is the case throughout the whole store.

Big collection of organic food, but still missing some things. I don't really understand the logic of where some categories are placed, milk, whipped cream and cheese are in three totally separate places.

Compare to some other AHs the layout of this one is messy and you cannot return the shopping cart to the end because the chain at the end is too short, so everybody has to return the cart to the other location, and the carts get too much it obstruct the parking. A lot of things to improve.

I was shopping in the Albert Heijn supermarket by Prinsenland (like I normally do), but i was in a bit of a hurry and the lines at the regular checkout counters were long. I decided to use the self check out, which i had never used before. In the middle of me checking out, the machine prompted me to pay, which confused me because i hadnt finished scanning all my items (some of them were stll on the counter). At that point an employee came over (a young lady) and she said that she had to scan all the items, I asked why and she stated that it was for ¨control¨. I advised her that i was not finished scanning my items but she insisted that she had to scan all the items including those i had not scanned as yet. After she was finished scanning and I paid for all the items, she made a call on her phone; at that point i saw other employees coming towards the area that i was. They started speaking (Dutch) to each other and pointing at me and the things that i purchased. I asked the young lady what was going on but she refused to speak to me. A gentleman then came and i asked him what was going on, he started to tell me that the young lady told him that I did not scan some of my items, I proceeded to explain to him that when she came to the counter I told her that i had not finished scanning my items but she proceeded to scan all of them anyway; he and his colleagues, then started to refer to me as a thief. Once i realized this, I advised him that it was my intention to pay for all my items, his response to this was " That´s what they all say¨. I also tried to explain to him that it was my very first time using the self checkout and i may have made a mistake by touching something i should not have touched on the screen, his response to this was ¨ You can´t make mistakes.¨ I was very surprised by his comment and i asked him ¨ So what you are saying is that I cannot make an error at the machine?¨ his response to this was ¨ No you cannot.¨. I repeated my question 3 times and his response each time was the same. They proceeded again to speak to each other and contiued to refer to me as a thief; because i am not fluent in Dutch (I am only at the A1 level), i asked them to speak English so that i could understand what they were saying, one of them responded by asking ¨ You don´t speak Dutch?¨ I responded ¨Not very well.¨ at that point she gave me a very condescending look and asked me how long i have lived in the Netherlands, to which i responded ¨ a little over a year¨. They then proceeded to ignore my plea for them to speak in english as they conversed with each other, continuing to refer to me as a thief. I was starting to feel very uncomfortable and embarrassed as by then there was a small crowd of people who had gathered to look at what was happening. I asked if i could return the goods and get a refund, the response to which was ¨ NO¨. I was once more called a thief, and was given my receipt and told to leave the store; i was also told that going forward i was prohibited from using the self checkout service. I am utterly and profoundly offended by this incident which not only has publicly embarrassed me but has also defamed my character and has made me feel very discriminated against . If the location was not so convenient (it takes me 5 minutes to walk from my home), this experience would cause me to NEVER SHOP at this location EVER AGAIN.

I am not sure about the reason but the shopping experience can be better and better since morning to evening.
