β β β β β Our first brush with Indonesian cuisine. We were welcomed in by a nice lady and we given the best seats. The restaurant opened only a couple of months ago in a eatery rich neighborhood and I guess they still need to build up a community of regulars. When the proprietor found out we never had Indonesian before she offered to make us a bit of everything.
I really loved the rendang and the gado gado was a nice vegetarian surprise. The satay with its sweet and spicy notes... I crave those now.
Some dishes were spicy, some not, and some were deliciously, fiery hot.
We ended up taking some home, as we couldn't finish it all and, as promised, it was even better the next day!
All in all a wonderful experience and I hope to visit again soon.

β β β β β Brilliant food! I was very pleased to find an Indonesian restaurant that doesn't dial down the sambal. We enjoyed the Ayam Pedas and accompanying condiments. Certainly on my revisit list!

β β β β β This place has one of the best fries I've had. And coming from a Belgian, that means a lot. And it's not just the fries, but actually all the food was really tasty. I mean, REALLY good!
The chicken pastry was not dry but very flavorful, the rendang stew was spiced to perfection and the chicken skewers with peanut sauce, pickled veggies and rice were the perfect snack to share.
This place is a bit hidden away, but it deserves to be in the spotlight. You can find it near the Markthallen, so easily accessible.
Oh, and the funny ladies will give you a very good service with a big smile. And you'll leave with one, too :D
