Really nice spa with nice and friendly staff. Had some trouble with our reservation, but got a complementary day in the spa to make up for it :)

Lush! But if you have to ask for the price you can probably not afford it. Spent an outrageous €390 for 2 people. There is 1 pool, 1 lukewarm jaccuzi, 1 Hammam steam cabin and 1 sauna (95 degrees). Booked the celebration experience for 2 which is a 50 minute massage followed by a platter of fresh fruit and a glass of champagne.

Not a safe place. 1 month after I was robbed they only wanted me to keep quiet I was robbed at this hotel from my valuable belongings while being at spa in July. Should I say how disappointing and harmful was my experience during the last 4 weeks communicating with the hotel? The robbery at Conservatorium Hotel took place and this is a horrible incident for every guest. But the way the hotel management and the general manager himself handled the issue with me as injured party after that is even worse. I only experienced the hotel asking me to keep silent about the robbery. After multiple meetings and requests from my side, they started to bargain to offer me a compensation equal to the value of belongings stolen, but only after I will take down all the posts from social media and don’t share my experience online. Absolutely no desire to solve the aftermaths and take the responsibility or at least minimize the stress I have experienced because of the lack of security from the hotel’s side. It's not a safe place to stay or visit spa, but also the management is not going to help you in case of something bad happens.

Last Friday very unexpected stressful and egregious thing happened to me in a place where I hardly expected. I am the member at @akashawellbeing since I moved to Amsterdam. I chose this place for quality, esthetic and the most important feeling of safety. While applying for membership was told a lot about their handpicking approach for members and even went through kind of interview before they let me to pay 6000/year for a family membership. Friday noon while I was on a treatment, a suspicious person, simply coming from the street and pretending she wants a treatment at the spa, went into the locker room, opened 4 lockers, stole from my locker a bag, watch, wallet, not to mention the money, very important documents for me and car keys, home and office keys, and left in 5 min saying she changed her mind. After hours of stress, communicating with police in hotel security office I’ve been told that after submitting a report I need to wait until hotel will talk to their insurance company and then they will contact me. What is the idea of handpicking of members that doesn’t make any sense if anyone else even the thieves come to hotel spa without any barrier (even not paying thousands to you as I do).

Massage was great, but it defeats the purpose of relaxation, when the staff books your appointment,(without warning you beforehand),during the same time when groups of children are allowed to run throughout the spa. During the massage session, all you could hear was loud running from the pool area on the other side of the massage rooms... people go to a spa to escape loud noises and to enter a quiet and relaxed solitude-like atmosphere. Also the spa had only 5 lounge chairs, which was occupied with used-dirty towels from previous guest who were not using the lounge chairs anymore. The space of the spa is way too small for the many guest they are inviting just to use the pool. It’s too crowded for such a small spa, it defeats the whole purpose of the spa experience.

I’m a member of Akasha gym and spa and fully recommend the spa services to all. As a world spa traveller, and north American expat living nearby, I can say it is well appointed, serviced by capable and kind staff, and an enjoyable retreat from busy days in Amsterdam.
