However the cashier did not mind informing us so we wasted 20€ as she also did not show any kind of interest in customer service and refund for return. Quite arrogant lady. Is this typically Dutch or just totally desinterested staff?
Would absolutely not recommend this place or the cashier. Don’t think I’d ever go back there, but if I should, I got her name to complain.
Actually given all the other bad reviews, I’m surprised that no shop manager has ever shown interest in customer concerns resp. customer complaints.

It's just a supermarket but the workers are really nice and friendly, they helped me to get comfortable to live in Vaals for one year, so thanks for that ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Store has been rebuilt about a month ago! They have added scanning facility by either using mobile phone or hand scanner. In the evening it's quiet so no long ques. And everything is being restocked in the evening by many young people from their workforce.

We bought 30 items here. With two small kids we didn’t pay much attention, just paid and left. I checked the receipt...70€!!!
This can’t be right. Double checked and turns out it was almost 12€ too much!
So we went back and the cashier lady did not discuss or comment at all... very fishy...
- 2 Sale articles for 1€ were charged the original full price. For those we got 7.40€!! refund
- 3 fruit bar packages were advertised as a special offer for 4€. We got charged single pack price = 6.87€. We returned them.
- 2 juice packs advertised as 2 for 3€. We got refunded 1€ difference.
The cashier handed back the money and from her action it seems like this is a very normal and usual thing to happen here.
I will not shop here again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They have redecorated this store and I was extremely happy with new self checkout. The store has a variety of prepared fresh food (not frozen :D) and they actually taste very good! I recommend shopping here.
