Wouter & Jeroen
Wouter en Jeroen, beiden Amersfoorters, komen december 2011 met elkaar in contact om te praten over een nieuw horecabedrijf op de Hof. Jeroen had het eerste recht verworven om in Hof 5 een restaurant te beginnen en was op zoek naar een compagnon. Een aantal gesprekken en veel koffie later, schudden Wouter en Jeroen elkaar de hand. “Wij gaan er met z’n tweeën iets moois van maken”.
Vanaf 2012 is het concept tot in de puntjes uitgedacht en heeft Alberts z’n eigen karakter gekregen. In 2014 openen ze de deuren en is Amersfoort een mooi horecabedrijf rijker. Wat je ziet is een reflectie van hoe Wouter en Jeroen een horecabedrijf zien. Gastvrij, persoonlijk en met karakter!

A slight mix up on the English menu which showed my steak came with fries but the Dutch menu it didn't. They still gave us free fries though. Very nice of them. Perhaps a little pricey across the board or maybe just a £:€ rate issue. Would go again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice and cosy place with nice staff. The food is tasty and of high quality. Limited in regard to vegan options but they were able to make one of the main dishes vegan for me, and offered to do the same for one of the starters. I had the risotto, which was good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good quality food for this price, unique combinations of flavours, often with an asian twist. Nice wines on the menu and a big variety in dishes, all can be ordered in small (as starter) or large portions. Staff were friendly and the venue had a good atmosphere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food is Meh, apart from the frites that were excellent, (tip: ask for spicy mayo) and the drink selection limited. If you're not picky and want to get sloshed, there are cheaper options not far away. If you want to enjoy the atmosphere and companionship, this is probably a good spot to do so.
