★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Misschien niet het meest bekende maar wel een van de meest bijzondere gebouwen in Houten. Staat inmiddels al bijna 20 jaar als een lichtgewicht (en internationaal prijswinnend) icoon langs de Rondweg, ontworpen door Architectenbureau Micha de Haas.
"Het Aluminium Centrum bevindt zich in de kruinen van het Aluminium Bos, boven ijle stammen die het Nederlandse licht filteren en weerspiegelen." En verder: "Binnen sluizen zonovergoten patio's licht, licht, warmte en ruimte in goede banen".
Zo schrijf je over een gebouw waarvan je houdt. Dat doet de architect (zie verder zijn website), zo blij mag Houten zijn met zo'n sieraad.
 Perhaps not the most famous, but one of the most special buildings in Houten. State already almost 20 years as a lightweight (and international award winning) icon along the Bypass, designed by Architectenbureau Micha de Haas.
"The Aluminum Center is located in the tops of the Aluminum Forest, above thin stems that filter the Dutch light and reflect." And further: "Within locks drenched patios light, light, heat and space in the right direction."
This is how you write about a building that you love. That is what the architect does (see further on his website), that is how Houten can be with such a jewel.
