Welcome to the website of the Embassy of the Republic of Rwanda in The Hague. My name is Olivier Jean Patrick Nduhungirehe, I am the Ambassador of Rwanda to The Kingdom of the Netherlands, as well as non-resident Ambassador designate to the Republic of Estonia, Republic of Latvia and Republic of Lithuania. I also represent Rwanda to UN agencies and international organisations based in The Hague, which are the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), the International Court of Justice (ICJ) and the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals (IRMCT) Common Fund for Commodities (CFC), Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA).

The Embassy of the Republic of Rwanda was established in The Hague, administrative capital of the Kingdom of The Netherlands, on the 1st of November 2006. Since then, the Embassy has built good relations and partnerships not only with the Kingdom of the Netherlands, but also throughout all the extended jurisdictions in all levels from political and economic relations to cultural and academic partnerships. The Embassy provides relevant and up-to-date information about Rwanda, including services related to trade, investment, tourism and consular services. Furthermore, the Embassy provides services to the Rwandan Community in The Netherlands and support its activities aimed at contributing to the well-being of the community and the building of the nation.

Good leadership and governance, integration within the African Union (AU) and its regional economic communities (the East African Community – EAC-, the Economic Community for Central African States -ECCAS-, and the Common Market for Southern and Eastern Africa -COMESA-), as well as excellent working relationships and partnerships existing between Rwanda and the wider International Community have allowed Rwanda to thrive as a united and stable country, with a fast growing economy based on promotion of investments, trade and tourism.
