I like the experience and to be honest the price is great for what you get. The staff were Friendly and helpful, my only complaint was the car wasn't 100% charged when I got it. But ill continue to use this service and next time I hope to get a full charge before I set off.

I used to rent one every week, the cheapest option and nice cars. Somewhere in March, they sent an email saying that the prices would now be relatively lower outside peak hours and during the weekend. Well, great, yes please! But then it turned out that the same ride had suddenly become 50% more expensive?! All prices had apparently been increased, only those on weekends 'only' 50%. Well that's not so nice. That's not a cool way to advertise. Sort of like grabbing a carton of milk for half the price at the supermarket, and then it turns out at the checkout to be half of the triple price. Simply put in your email that everything will be 3x as expensive, except on weekends, where it will only be 1.5x as expensive. I am going to another company.

It used to be a very good service but since the new price changes its 4x more expensive(!). Also there is no transparency what is the cost per km and per hour (Amber will not disclose it) so basically they can charge you whatever they feel like. Unfortunately will not be using it anymore even though the cars are very cool.

I concur the previous (negative) comment about the new "pricing policy". I used to use Amber regularly for short commute which, I believe, should be the right direction for a sharing car. Since recently, the new rate has become a "black-box" which is 4 times MORE expensive and makes it impossible to predict how much I will need to pay even though Amber claims to provide an "estimate". The old price components (hourly rate + mileage rate) were much clearer and transparent. I don't think I will ever use it again.

I find it convenient and comfortable. The cars are not shining inside because it is a sharing business, not a normal car rental company. Also, I can not compare old prices but I find it reasonable. It is just not clear if there are "peak hours"? (I paid slightly different prices for same place, different days). The website does not have much FAQ so you better call (which I did and had a good experience). I recommend it, especially if you dont need it 24h.

I downloaded their app but without signing up fully with all the information with your licence etc you cannot see any details about available cars in your city, how much it costs, available times. Worst

Used to be a great service, but they only let you book a car in advance during the weekend now, unless you are a business customer. So, you have to wait and hope there is a car on the map when you want to go somewhere (and then they are often too far away to make it a reasonable option anyway). This works for Uber because they drive to you, there is no point biking 5km somewhere to fetch a car for a trip.

Amber used to be a good car to rent. Relatively cheap and you got a guarantee of having a car if reserved before 3 hours of departure. But as with all businesses. They get big on the backs of customers and then stab those same customers in the back for profit. 1. The pricing got much higher to the point you might as well buy your own car. 2. As a regular customer you can’t reserve cars anymore, only business people can reserve cars during the week. Because your money isn’t good enough anymore for Amber. Now when you open the app, only two cars available and on the opposite side of town. So good luck travelling to it.
