★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is that I can’t give even less stars because the health care for trans people is practically medical neglect. Having a waiting list 2,5 years for simply an intake is horrific. Then also the way the staff treats their patients is ridiculous, deadnaming them, mocking them for being different and asking extremely intrusive questions. Would definitely go to a different hospital if I had the opportunity to.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nobody ever visits a hospital for fun. At least not in my case. After 6 months I've become a regular at the VUMC due to the illness of my father. But I want to give a shout out to Tarun, the security guard. A most kind, friendly and helpful member of staff. He has gone out of his way to help me when my mother was distraught with my father's operation and on numerous occasions be most helpful and kind. I've also seen helping others. Always with a friendly smile. Thank you Tarun!
PS: I'd also like to extend my compliments to the volunteers who tirelessly and patiently assist visitors to the hospital. Such great people. Thank you!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I trust my life to the dedicated people who work here, they all go the extra mile. I come from the Caribbean and am lucky nuff to get my treatment here, if not I don't what will happened. Please keep doing this amazing job .. ???‼️ I need 2 more surgeries and tho the risks are high .. I sure I come out on the otherside new brand .. I am a lucky man very lucky ❤ .. my treating team of specialists are the most selfless wholehearted people ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great doctors and as my and others privacy is #1 I can't tell you much more. Wait,,, really good coffee machines compared to other hospitals in Amsterdam. Got myself a yummie (for machine made) capucino :-)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My experience as a patient is that the employees aren’t listening to the patient. I need medicine for the disease i am suffering from. Its been 5 months!!! and the employees keep making further appointments without any action. Very disappointing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband was treated here for advanced stage 4 pancreatic cancer. He was diagnosed in the USA and started treatment there. When we came back to Amsterdam, where we live now, the Drs. were able to take his treatment from where he finished in the US. His team of Drs. were very helpful, kind and professional, even though my husbands cancer was more advanced when they treated him. We really appreciate the treatment and comfort they gave him during his treatment and final months.
