★ ★ ★ ★ ★ THis place is fantastic. Compared to new concepts like the patatbaas and the frites atelier, it's an old-fashioned diner-style snackbar that has been serving me good products since 1985, when it was still called De Krokodel.
It's an old-fashioned snackbar that uses fresh oil, has good sauces and recently started offering really quite nice burgers for a decent amount of money. The staff is friendly, and they serve fries the way they are supposed to be served: On a white tray with a separate sauce bin next to the fries.
This ensures fries are crispy and mayo doesn't get warm.
To be perfectly honest, the satay sauce could do with a little more soy and some more turmeric, but that nitpick aside I can recommend this place.
