Zo jalours dat er door hun belangenorganisatie (Recron)bezwaar gemaakt werd tegen de vrijheid die campereigenaren al jaren ervaren in Sas van Gent genieten onder het mom van “valse concurrentie”. De middenstand van dit stadje voer wel bij de grote aantallen campers. Nu maar hopen dat de campingeigenaren hun professionele kwaliteiten inzetten om hun campings ook op peil te brengen. Dan hebben camperaars de keus….. Beautiful camper place that (mini) camping owners are jealous of. So jealous that their interest organization (Recron) objected to the freedom that motorhome owners have experienced for years in Sas van Gent under the guise of "false competition". The middle class of this town feeds on the large numbers of campers. Let's just hope that the campsite owners will use their professional qualities to bring their campsites up to standard. Then campers have the choice…..

Prime location for free! A beautiful motorhome place between the Ghent-Terneuzen canal and the yacht harbor. Lawn. No facilities but a beautiful place for 25 campers. Prime location for free!
D	DK360. nl on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Schitterende plek vlakbij het Terneuzen-Gent kanaal, er komen regelmatig mooie schepen lang, op het terrein zelf weinig aansluitingen. Beautiful place near the Terneuzen-Ghent canal, beautiful ships come regularly for a long time, few connections on the site itself.
B	Bob Hillebregt on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Een schitterend gelegen camperplaats op een schiereiland naast het zeevaart kanaal naar Gent en het plaatsje Sas van Gent aan de andere kant. De ondergrond is gras op een zandbodem , dus weinig kans om te verzakken. Officieel zijn er maar 4 plaatsen . Nog steeds wordt er gedoogd dat er wel tot 100 campers staan. Verder zijn er ( nog ) geen voorzieningen. A beautifully located motorhome on a peninsula next to the sea canal to Ghent and the town of Sas van Gent on the other side. The surface is grass on a sandy bottom, so little chance of subsidence. Officially there are only 4 places. It is still tolerated that there are up to 100 campers. Furthermore, there are no facilities (yet).
M	Monique van Meijl on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Leuke plek om te staan. Je kan zelf kiezen waar je gaat staan. Er zijn geen voorzieningen zoals water , elektrisch, en vuil water stort. Wel komt er bijna elke dag s' morgens vroeg , iemand van de gemeente afval ophalen. Je kunt een leuke wandeling maken over het schiereiland. En fantastisch al de schepen die voorbij varen over het Kanaal van Gent naar Terneuzen.? Nice place to stand. You can choose where you stand. There are no facilities such as water, electric, and dirty water dumping. Almost every morning early in the morning someone from the municipality collects waste. You can take a nice walk across the peninsula. And fantastic all the ships that pass over the Canal from Ghent to Terneuzen

Aan een kant verkeer en aan de kanaalzijde de doorvaart van zeeschepen. Het is een groot open grasveld dat hier en daar ongelijk en hobbelig is. Plaatsen zijn vrij te kiezen en gratis. Er is geen enkele voorziening in de vorm van water innemen of lozen van toilet of grijs water. Dorpscentrum met supermarkt , winkels en horeca op 300 meter. Deze plaats wordt binnen afzienbare tijd omgebouwd tot officiële camperplaats voor 25 campers tegen betaling. The motorhome is located on a peninsula in the foothills of the canal from Terneuzen to Ghent. Traffic on one side and the passage of sea-going vessels on the canal side. It is a large open lawn that is uneven and bumpy here and there. Places are freely selectable and free. There is no provision whatsoever in the form of water intake or discharge of toilet or gray water. Village center with supermarket, shops and restaurants at 300 meters. This place will be converted into an official motorhome for 25 motorhomes for a fee in the near future.
