About Art. 447
As you may have guessed, that is where the first part of the name comes from. Yet, there is another hidden meaning: it refers to article 447 from the Dutch criminal law that refers to rebels who refuse to follow the rules. This connects to the idea that the salon is a non-commercial space that values diversity, difference, out of the box thinking, while providing a cosy atmosphere for everyone to feel welcome.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would never cheat on my stylist back home. Ever. Unless it is with Roxy (color) and Chuen (cut, blow-dry and style). The team at Art 447 is exactly that, a well-oiled machine. Roxy was just the sweetest and very knowledgable on the color side. She works quickly and had my whole head covered in foils in no time. She also toned out my difficult to lighten dark hair and delivered the color I requested, a natural looking baby-light with no yellow or red undertones. Her scalp massage was off the charts. It was absolutely divine.
I was booked for a highlight only, but badly needed a trim. She asked Chuen if he would be able to fit me in (as he was almost done with his last client of the day), and he agreed to stay after to cut my hair. He is a true artist, as well...what excellent service!
Also you can't beat the central location in Amsterdam. It's pretty cool sitting from the beautiful modern industrial interior looking out to the canals in Amsterdam. Don't think twice, just book it. Makes me wish I lived here!

The haircut and the balayage / highlights turned out to be even more beautiful than I expected. I love love love my new look and I have to thank the team of Art.447 for this amazing transformation.

I usually go to relatively cheap (~15 Euro) hairdressers, because I whenever I go to something a bit more expensive, I don’t feel like seeing a better result - until I went to Art.447 and got my hair cut by Chuen! The experience was great right from the start, Chuen gave me really good advice and we figured out what would fit me best together. Hair wash and cut were great, we had a very nice chat and I got to enjoy a tasty coffee. After the styling I was honestly amazed on how good my hair can look like. On top of that there was super good music playing in the background ?. That was definitely the best experience I ever had at a hairdresser and I will definitely come back, when I am in Amsterdam again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendly and professional service, definitely 10/10. If you are wondering if it is worth it, the answer is yes. I don't normally like going to the hairdresser but after visit one time I'm already planning to go back again soon. I am very pleased with this shop. I felt fabulous.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The first time I’ve been to this salon and for blonde half a head of highlights, and I am so happy with the results! :) Roxana is super attentive and is brilliant at doing blonde hair! The salon is in such a lovely location and the team there are so friendly and happy - it was such a fun and comfortable vibe. So happy I’ve found a hair salon to call my local in Amsterdam now :) cant wait to go back and keep going back!
