Asgul Kledingreparatie en Boetiek - Augustinuspark 2

Ik had een aantal jurken besteld die jammer genoeg te groot waren. Terug sturen was geen optie omdat ik een bruiloft de week daarop had. Ben bij asgul in Amstelveen geweest en hij heeft mijn jurken ingenomen etc. Top kwaliteit!! Je merkt niks van dat ze 2 maten te groot waren. Ik heb begrepen dat het een familie bedrijf is. Hij werkt in de winkel met zijn vrouw en af en toe helpen zijn dochters in de zaak. Hele aardige mensen en heel vriendelijk. Mocht mijn jurk met 2 dagen ophalen ?

Good eye for detail, but really overpriced! They also left a pin and loose threads in a dress we customised.

I went to get my pinafore (overgooier) tailored here. The waist needed to be made smaller and the straps slightly shorter. I chose this business because of the great reviews even though it is not local to me (I live in Alphen a/d Rijn). Went the first time to drop the dress off, and of course they pinned it as it needed to be sewn. Came back (2nd time) a few days later to pick it up, and the waist was sewed correctly but the 2 straps were not even. There was a BIG difference too- something like 6cm difference. Unfortunately, the correct length was the longer side, so in order to make it even, they had to take length away from the correct side to match the shorter side. I came back (3rd time) to pick up the garment and saw that because they had to shorten the straps to make it even, it made the dress too short to wear without leggings underneath (the whole reason why I bought a size bigger and decided to spend money to make the waist fit smaller was so that it was longer). But I understand mistakes can happen- I just expected better from a professional with good reviews. So I took the garment home. Well, I went home and put the dress on - and there was AGAIN two different lengths for the straps. This time a difference of 1cm (in the photos). So I went back (4th time), AGAIN, and had them repair it. Fortunately he had a small amount of material he can add to make the straps slightly longer (and even) but now because of the way he sewed it, the decorative buttons are in 2 different places. I spent probably 10x the amount of money the dress was worth in costs for the tailoring and petrol going back and forth, and not to mention all my time that was wasted with this. I appreciate them trying to make it right, but I would not bring my clothes back here again, 4x for 1 dress was enough for me to learn my lesson...
