Met vrienden bezochten wij de exposities van Kunstmaand Ameland en kwamen dus ook in Galerie 31 terecht. Prachtige schilderijen van Tom Beijl, bronzen beelden en keramische klaprozen van Margreet Halma en sieraden van Helga Friedrichs. Het vakmanschap van Tom Beijl is goed te zien op het schilderij met de schepen. Prachtig uitgewerkt. Soms komen de schilderijen wat gekunsteld over met de truckjes als rode paaltjes en lichte en donkere vlakverdeling. Maar je kunt het ook zien als de stijl van de kunstenaar. Ik heb het (gesigneerde) kunstboek Van Tom Beijl en Margreet Halma voor mijn zus gekocht. Prachtige expositie!

We visited the exhibitions of Kunstmaand Ameland with friends and so ended up in Gallery 31. Beautiful paintings by Tom Beijl, bronze statues and ceramic poppies by Margreet Halma and jewelry by Helga Friedrichs. Tom Beijl's craftsmanship is clearly visible in the painting with the ships. Beautifully worked out. Sometimes the paintings appear a bit artificial with the tricks as red posts and light and dark division of the surface. But you can also see it as the style of the artist. I bought the (signed) art book Van Tom Beijl and Margreet Halma for my sister. Wonderful exhibition!
