About Atelier Tekenkamer Bettina Weller
Bettina Weller was born in Düsseldorf, Germany, 1962, studied set-design in Berlin at the University of the Arts (formerly HdK Berlin), class Achim Freyer.
Since the eighties she worked as set-/costumedesigner in Germany and the Netherlands (see: set-design), at several theaters as Schauspiel Bochum, Deutsches Theater Berlin, Toneelgroep Amsterdam, Schauspiel Frankfurt, Theater Bonn,Theater Freiburg, NNT Groningen etc., together with directors as J. Gosch, GJ Rijnders, K.Schiffler of H.Waldmann.
At this time she works mainly with writer and regisseur Theo Fransz in several german theaters as Theater Bremen, Deutsches Theater Göttingen, Junges Schauspiel Zürich, Theater Bonn.
1995 she moved to Amsterdam and settled there, starting also illustrating schoolbooks.
Sinds 2008 she also develops educational art-projects with schoolchildren,in Amsterdam (beroepskunstenaar in de klas), developing also art-workshops at her own Atelier Tekenkamer. short promo about program Levende Kaart
