Wonderfully quiet and a completely unobstructed view. In the evening you can see the deer walking through the forest from your own terrace. Awesome!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wat een bijzonder mooie plek. Magisch! Het houten huis, zelfgebouwd met het hout uit het bos. Ik heb genoten van de sfeer, het bos, de geur van de houtkachel, het ontbijt en de gastvrijheid. Een prima plek om je terug te trekken om te werken, schrijven en/of te ontspannen.
What a very beautiful place. Magic! The wooden house, built with the wood from the forest. I enjoyed the atmosphere, the forest, the smell of the wood stove, the breakfast and the hospitality. A great place to retreat to work, write and / or relax.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Op landgoed "het Waarrecht" nabij Haaksbergen, ligt de Bed & Breakfast de Gagel van Jan en Liesbeth Jannink. Ontzettend lieve mensen en een geweldige locatie! De ontvangst is ontspannen, je voelt je direct welkom. Op de kamer is zo goed als alles aanwezig wat je bij een B&B mag verwachten en als iets er niet is, is de drempel om iets te vragen letterlijk en figuurlijk laag. Jan heeft de B&B (en de rest van het huis) zelf gebouwd met hout afkomstig van het landgoed. Er zijn mooie wandelpaden en regelmatig kan je ontmoetingen hebben met het plaatselijk wild. Voor de wat langere mensen onder ons is de badkamer wat aan de krappe kant en mag er een iets grotere tafel in de kamer staan. De prijs vind ik persoonlijk ietwat aan de hoge kant (€ 120,- p.n.), evengoed is de beleving behoorlijk wat waard. Rust is er tot op zekere hoogte te vinden, hoewel 's avonds de zich in de omgeving bevindende Hereford runderen auditie lijken te doen voor het volgende deel van Jurassic Park en luidkeels van zich laten horen. Zeker een B&B om aan te bevelen!
The Bed & Breakfast de Gagel of Jan and Liesbeth Jannink is located on the estate "het Waarrecht" near Haaksbergen. Very nice people and a great location! The reception is relaxed, you immediately feel welcome. The room has almost everything you can expect from a B&B and if something is not there, the threshold to ask for something is literally and figuratively low. Jan built the B&B (and the rest of the house) himself with wood from the estate. There are beautiful hiking trails and regular encounters with the local wildlife. For the taller people among us, the bathroom is a bit on the tight side and there may be a slightly larger table in the room. I personally find the price somewhat on the high side (€ 120 p.n.), but the experience is worth quite a bit. Tranquility can be found to a certain extent, although at night the nearby Hereford cattle seem to be auditioning for the next section of Jurassic Park and making themselves heard loudly. Definitely a B&B to recommend!
