Down to earth & friendly staff, great selection of classic Neapolitan pizza with various toppings of outstanding quality.
Kitchen had a delay with our order, but floor-staff managed it very well.
Would always go back, 1st thing to do in Maastricht for an unbelievable dinner.

β β β β β Our second time at Bancale tonight. Hands down the best pizza in Maastricht. I had the sausage pizza with ricotta and spinach rolled into the crust. It was served with a pepper infused olive oil. We will be returning for dine in and take away!

β β β β β Great quality pizzas! Lovely service and a divine pizza dough baked in a wooden-fired oven. They also brought a delicious spicy oil dip to use with your pizza dough! Lots of vegan options, too.
Take away and sit in options, we recommend it!

β β β β β Best pizzeria in Maastricht. They have a lot of variety of toppings but the classic Margherita is a must-try. They have a variation of it with spinach and ricotta-filled crust. Besides that they have white pizza (without tomato sauce, the one with potato and bacon is also recommended), and vegan options.
The crust is crunchy outside and chewy inside. Heated it in microwave-oven the day after and still delicious.

β β β β β From the fotos the Pizza's look fantastic. Proper Napolitanian... In reality they look nice, but the taste does not follow the sight. The dough (which is good) is combined in a strange manner with different toppings. I had pizza with Buffala Mozarela, cheery tomatoes and Prosciutto. The pizza is really small, when I got it was just slightly warm. The tomatoes were ice cold as well as Prosciutto. Bufalla was OK. But all in all rather average pizza.
The place is simple yet smartly decorated.

β β β β β The calzone was really great. The dough was amazing. There are a ton of vegan options available and these were tasty as well. At first I found it strange that there was no beer served, but I realized it isn't even that necessary when you want to eat. It isn't the cheapest, but the pizzas are freshly made with love.

β β β β β We had two pizzas (tonno and ricotta) both burn at the bottom. The dough tasted acidic like a strange coating. They looked really nice, but it was the first time that we couldnβt eat a pizza and had to get food somewhere else.
