★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In het traject tussen het Twentekanaal en de IJssel zijn in 1931 en 1932 meerdere grote stuwen gebouwd, zoals de Sandermanstuw, Temminkstuw , Wippertstuw en Banninkstuw. Deze stuwen zijn deels geautomatiseerd om het waterbeheer en daarmee de waterverdeling in het benedenstroomse traject van de Schipbeek te optimaliseren. De Banninkstuw is in 1932 gemaakt en heeft een cultuurhistorische waarde.
In the route between the Twentekanaal and the IJssel several large weirs were built in 1931 and 1932, such as the Sandermanstuw, Temminkstuw, Wippertstuw and Banninkstuw. These weirs are partly automated to optimize the water management and thus the water distribution in the downstream section of the Schipbeek. The Banninkstuw was made in 1932 and has a cultural-historical value.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cultuurhistorisch watererfgoed, regelt de waterbeheersing van de Schipbeek. Onder beheer van Waterschap Rijn en IJssel en is passeerbaar gemaakt voor vissen. In 2017 zijn hier bevers gesignaleerd.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Het mooiste stukje natuur bij Bathmen.
Het gebied van de Bathmense bever en o.a.de ijsvogels.
Heerlijk rustig en ontspannend.
Jammer dat er verderop een A1 loopt, waarvan nog teveel lawaai komt.
Ook jammer dat de gemeente Deventer dit natuurschoon denkt te moeten milieu vervuilen door de mogelijke komst van hoge windmolens.
Hopelijk gaat dat niet gebeuren.
The most beautiful piece of nature near Bathmen.
The area of the Bathmens beaver and, among other things, the kingfishers.
Wonderfully quiet and relaxing.
It is a pity that there is an A1 further on, from which there is still too much noise.
It is also a pity that the municipality of Deventer thinks it has to pollute this natural beauty due to the possible arrival of high windmills.
Hopefully that won't happen.
