★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Popped in on the off-chance of a beard trim, Friday lunchtime, without an appointment. Lucked out, Marty made me feel right at home and gave me an expert trim & wet shave over a beer and some bike chat. Proper barber, left feeling well groomed & relaxed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place for traditional mens haircuts but unfortunately terrible at executing anything beyond the ordinary. Went in yesterday for my first time at Barber since it was featured in Monocle’s Amsterdam travel guide. The barber unconsciously took liberty on adjusting the hairstyle requested. She did not visually understand how to properly repilicate the same style on me. Sent an email requesting a refund with pictures of the hair cut result and request but have not received a response.
If you want a great basic haircut this would be the place for you, anything beyond that please avoid as you will be disappointed

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I recently had a beard trim and haircut with Amber and I really enjoyed the atmosphere and I am very happy with the results. I was offered a nice cold beer and a wisky while I waited and can only say it was worth the wait. I will definitely go back. My favourite barber shop in Amsterdam for sure. Recommended :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place, great staff, great results. Wonderful laid back place. I booked an appointment for a trim and haircut, on the last slot of the day. Spend so much time chatting, not just with my Barber, but also with the other barbers and patrons, that I wasn't done until half an hour past closing, but never felt rushed out. And all that plus a good drink? I'll be back here for sure.
