★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bartlehiem, dorpje aan de Elfstedenroute waar de schaatsers tweemaal langs komen. Eenmaal vanuit Franeker richting Dokkum en eenmaal vanuit Dokkum richting Leeuwarden. Het hoge bruggetje in Bartlehiem is een toeristische trekpleister. Maar het dorp zelf en de omgeving zijn ook zeer de moeite waard.
 Bartlehiem, village on the Elfstedenroute where the skaters pass twice. Once from Franeker in the direction of Dokkum and once from Dokkum in the direction of Leeuwarden. The high bridge in Bartlehiem is a tourist attraction. But the village itself and the surrounding area are also very worthwhile.
