Unfortunately, our food wasn’t nice at all- I had a chicken and bacon tosti which was made with very fatty, gristly chewy meat. The tiny amount of salad on the side tasted very stale. Nice coffee though!

Was NOT expecting fine dining at all, but really don't understand the reviews about great atmosphere and awesome food. I had reserved a table for 6 and after waiting several minutes at the door, I had to ask where our table was. The whole place was empty and the girl just waved at a table near the window, right next to a loud group of min.8 people, the only people in the restaurant! Asked for different table and she quickly moved 3 small tables together on the opposite side. Service was pretty terrible, for instance we dropped a glass of wine and no one came to see if OK. Mum got up and was given a cloth to clean the wine and pieces of glass (after she asked for one). Food was average, okay pub food. Staff looked rushed and obviously running behind. After telling the manager what we thought of the whole experience, we did get apologies from two members of staff and got offered free coffee. Toilets were gross, papers everywhere on the floor, really like a bar. Again, we didn't expect any luxury, but this was nothing like the idea we got from Batavia 1894 online. Nice place to have a drink and snack outside on the terrace next to the water. Dinner again: hell no.
