Imagine, after searching for more than a year all over the Netherlands, a special place was found. Not too big and not too small, a house that could be home to all the aspirations. A shophouse with a rich history at a magnificent spot in the centre of Tilburg.

In 2007, 3 full years of restoration, installation of modern comfort, and hand finishing started. Envisaged it would take just under 1.5 years, but actually, more than three years flew by. After all, every square centimetre needs attention. It is fantastic that the dream came true. Jan-Willem succeeded in implementing a new concept with his own hands. To make a Bed and Breakfast with the atmosphere of the past and comfort of the present. A home where the production of art modestly, unnoticed, sneaks in and plays a most important role!

It is a beautiful house, friendly hosts who were always ready to guide and assist us. The breakfast was delicious, the room was nice and comfortable and the location was perfect. We will surely stay there again if we go back to Tilburg.

This cozy place provided everything I needed and wanted, and was filled with nice atmosphere reflecting its hosts' warm hospitality. Things I liked especially are an abundant supply of hot water in the bathroom and the amusing breakfast.

The room was fabulous, the round bed really comfy and I loved the free standing bath. The breakfast was freshly made and delicious. My only criticism is that there were no coffee making facilities in the room; however the high quality of everything else means that the 5 star review is still well deserved.

Nice fresh ingredients. There is an authentic bathroom on the first floor that you can have all for yourself if you stay in the room adjacent to it. That bathroom is beautiful. It has great details from an age gone by: the 1930s. The house itself is nice in that respect too. Beds are comfy: you'll sleep well. The bad. The rooms on the top floor have the toilet more or less in the room. You cannot really .... privately. This is unfortunate. I was in Tilburg during a festival. Certainly it was not my preference to sleep outside on a camping site. But I couldn't stay at the BNB because they only wanted to let 4 nights in a row "because there's a festival". So of course because of their greed they ended up with most rooms empty cause the festival was only three days. How can you require 4 nights for 3 days festival? My friends had no choice so they paid the fourth night and stayed 3. To top it off when were there the price dropped from 125 (expensive) to 99 (more reasonable) but my friends had to pay the full amount....

The hospitality and overall unconditional kindness of Riet and Jan-Willem was beyond all expectations. Cozy room, calm homely atmosphere and ideally close proximity of everything. I have to mention the wonderful cleanliness, the rooms were spotless and my laundry was even washed, folded and brought to us! Me and my better half could not have asked for a better place to stay for vacation and this is something we will never forget. This is a perfect bed & breakfast in the heart of Tilburg.

The room was bright and clean, quiet too. We slept well on comfortable beds and had a fantastic bathroom. Everything was very high quality and good attention to detail. Breakfast was organic and home made with a beautiful view to the garden.

The next morning i had breakfast at 9.30am and it was a delight. A ton of variations and they'll ask if youre allergic to something so they can ensure that it's safe for you to eat.

The City Part Green room was spotless, and with a large bed, soaking tub, and separate shower it was perfectly appointed for shared relaxing and recharging. Returning is an easy choice!
