β β β β β I recently purchased my second set of 2 new PF-2 Fluoride filters and after installing I did not think they were working as efficient as the previous filters I had installed. I contacted Berkey and they advised I remove the Berkey Black Filters and give them a good cleaning under running water. I carried this out as advised and when I primed and reinstalled both set of filters my system is now working as good as the first day I bought it. Thank you so much Philip for such a speedy response and great advice.

β β β β β This is the second Berkey I have bought from Phillip and he is the best business to buy from in my experience. The water is so good I can't touch tap water, it tastes so bad. My Royal Berkey has the same two filters I started with three years ago and is as good as the day I bought it. The Travel Berkey has been gratefully received by my son and his family and I think they will regret not having a bigger one. If I ever get it back, the Travel will go with me, if I need to leave home. A couple of tips: the stainless steel tap is worth every penny and the stand is too. Personally, I run my Berkey to empty, usually by the end of most days, I rinse both halves out with cold running water, I refill overnight and I clean thoroughly once a month or so with washing-up liquid, removing the light coating of limescale with a small cup of heated, cheap bottled lemon juice. You could use vinegar, I suppose, but I'm not a fan of the smell of vinegar. Obviously, rinse thoroughly with cold running water afterwards.

They were fast and friendly. Helped me to chose the right Birkey talking me down from purchasing a larger model. That rarely happens with any supplier normally they are trying to sell you something you don't need. AAA Recommendation.

β β β β β I have a Berkey Outdoor Travel and am basically satisfied. However, after about 1 year, despite proper care, the filters stopped running the water within a useful time (instead of 30 minutes, it suddenly took 3-4 hours). I even bought the new primer system, but it was no use. Berkey has a great official Berkey representative in Switzerland since recently, who was very helpful even though I ordered the unit in the Netherlands at the time) and told me to contact directly Berkey USA, as they want it that way. I did, and in hindsight I'm sorry to say that the whole Berkey warranty process (the unit still went under the 19-24 month warranty) is a pure disaster. The customer has for prove, smash the filter with a hammer, send a photo of it as well as a photo of the Berkey System (there seems to be zero trust in the customer). The whole process for getting warranty service took several days with email correspondence and in the end I even had to call from Switzerland to USA for payment. With the shipping costs, customs and VAT, I ended up paying exactly the same as if I had ordered new filters (without warranty) directly from the friendly representative in Switzerland. So in the end I got zero warranty service from Berkey USA and also had a huge hassle. By the way, I also wrote a review on the Berkey USA site, but it was not uploaded and no feedback for me, that is also a statement, isnt'it. It's a shame that Berkey doesn't stand by the fact that there is a huge shortcoming regarding overseas customer service. Berkey should turn to the Swiss colleagues for customer service, the company Hilfreich, they could learn a lot from them.
My answer to your statement:
I ordered BerkeyFilters.de and this order was directly sent from Berkey Netherlands. All ok with that. But fact is, that USA wanted me to deal with them directly regarding warranty - I asked them for help here in Europe or Switzerland, but that was not possible. So???
