★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Voor de bibliotheek was plotseling geen geld meer maar door een geweldig initiatief van wijkbewoners en de gemeente Eindhoven is de 'Buurtbieb' , het inloop en buurtcentrum van Dommelbeemd (oude naam voor dit deel van Woensel) gerealiseerd.
Door vrijwilligers wordt de bibliotheek gerund en is het mogelijk om de kranten te lezen met een kopje koffie erbij. Op dinsdagochtend van 10-12 uur zijn altijd verschillende gemeentelijke organisaties aanwezig (zorg, politie, wijkcoördinator) en kun je - zonder afspraak - bij hen aankloppen met ideeën, vragen en/of problemen.
Before, this was the local library but funding was ended and through an initiative by local people and the municipality, this place has become a multifunctional social centre.
It is still possible to borrow books or read a newspaper while enjoying tea or coffee. On Tuesday morning between 10-12 am, representatives of different organizations are present (welfare, coordinator from the municipality, police) to answer your questions or listen to your ideas or problems experienced in the neighbourhood. No need to make an appointment.
Suddenly there was no more money for the library, but thanks to a great initiative by local residents and the municipality of Eindhoven, the 'Buurtbieb', the walk-in and neighborhood center of Dommelbeemd (old name for this part of Woensel) has been realized.
Volunteers run the library and it is possible to read the newspapers with a cup of coffee. On Tuesday morning from 10 am to 12 pm, various municipal organizations are always present (care, police, district coordinator) and you can contact them without any ideas for ideas, questions and / or problems.
