About Bibliotheek Beuningen
Basisschool Petrus Canisius, aan de voet van de St Stevenskerk, heeft sinds woensdag 18 mei een eigen Bibliotheek op school. Burgemeester Bruls opende de nieuwe bieb en luidde de leesweek in. Leerlingen kunnen nu lekker lezen uit een eigen collectie biebboeken.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Helaas niet geschikt voor kleine kinderen. Je moet een trap op en de traplift werkt vaak niet of je moet lang wachten voordat iemand wil helpen. Kleine kinderen moeten op de banken klimmen voordat ze de boeken kunnen zien. De bakken staan te hoog. Bij de kinderboeken zijn veel trappen, dus je kan kinderen ook niet veilig los laten kruipen. Zo jammer! In de oude bieb kwam ik altijd met veel plezier. Misschien kan dit nog worden aangepast? Kunnen de kinderboeken op de begane grond?
Unfortunately not suitable for small children. You have to climb stairs and the stairlift often doesn't work or you have to wait a long time before someone wants to help. Small children have to climb on the benches before they can see the books. The bins are too high. There are many stairs with the children's books, so you cannot safely let children crawl loose. Such a pity! I always came to the old library with great pleasure. Maybe this can still be adjusted? Can the children's books be on the ground floor?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wat een heerlijke bibliotheek om naar toe te gaan. Ruime keuze in tijdschriften, leuke aanraders boeken (op kopse kant stelling), fijne leesplekjes en zithoekjes. Mijn kinderen gaan hier graag naar toe. Interessante kindercolleges. Een keer hele leuke actie, een boeken blindate; je kon een dicht tasje meenemen met een thema. Daar zaten drie of vier boeken in en een dvd, een verrassing wat er in zat.
Leuk dat het nu gecombineerd is met het buurthuis. Bibliotheek hierdoor veel vaker open (wel deels onbemand, maar dat is geen probleem).
What a wonderful library to visit. Wide choice of magazines, nice recommended books (on the end of the shelf), nice reading spots and sitting areas. My kids love to go here. Interesting children's lectures. A very nice promotion, a book blindate; you could take a closed bag with a theme. It contained three or four books and a DVD, a surprise what was in it.
Nice that it is now combined with the community center. As a result, the library is open much more often (partly unmanned, but that is no problem).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Periodieke lezingen bij de Universiteit van Beuningen. Geweldig als je in Beuningen woont en niet voor dit soort lezingen altijd maar naar Nijmegen moet (ook al is dat niet zo heel ver natuurlijk)
Periodic lectures at the University of Beuningen. Great if you live in Beuningen and don't always have to go to Nijmegen for this kind of lectures (even if it's not that far of course)
