Wel zou wat meer geinvesteerd mogen worden in boeken van populaire, hedendaagse schrijvers. Verder is er ruimte voor kunst, studie en bijeenkomsten. Het personeel is kundig, maar zou iets vriendelijker kunnen zijn. Spacious library. They have an extensive collection for young and old. However, more investment should be made in books by popular contemporary writers. There is also room for art, study and meetings. The staff are knowledgeable, but could be a little more friendly.
H	Hansc Cremer on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Een grote bibliotheek waar meer gebeurt dan boeken halen en brengen. Een hoek in het gebouw is voor de kunstuitleen. Er is een makkelijk-lezen-plein. Ook is er ruimte voor lessen. Alles is ruim en overzichtelijk. Wat niet ruim is, is de lift. In deze corona-tijd geschikt voor 1 persoon (filevorming na afloop van een cursus met wat oudere mensen). Verder is de toegankelijkheid voor invaliden prima. Parkeren nabij de Bieb: op straat max. 2 uur, in de parkeergarage achter de Bieb moet je een trap op of helemaal omlopen, dus niet geschikt voor minder- of invaliden. A large library where more is happening than collecting and delivering books. A corner in the building is for the art lease. There is an easy-read square. There is also room for lessons. Everything is spacious and clear. What is not spacious is the elevator. In this corona time suitable for 1 person (traffic jams after a course with older people). Furthermore, the accessibility for disabled people is fine. Parking near the Library: on the street max. 2 hours, in the parking garage behind the Library you have to go up a flight of stairs or go all the way round, so not suitable for disabled or disabled people.

Omdat ik geen mandje had gepakt werd ik op hooghartige toon hierop gewezen. Dat kan ook op een normale manier maar het lijkt wel of sommige mensen er een boosaardig genoegen in scheppen om je te wijzen op zogenaamd " ongehoorzaam" gedrag. Kom op zeg! De meeste medewerksters zijn vriendelijk en behulpzaam, maar er zijn helaas een paar uitzonderingen die helemaal voldoen aan het ouderwetse beeld van de pinnige bibliothecaresse. Vandaag weer een vervelende ervaring. Goedendag zeggen wordt blijkbaar niet op prijsgesteld en als je een medewerkster die bij de uitleen/inname computer achter je in de rij staat te wachten vraagt of ze je kan helpen krijg je als antwoord dat ze eerst iets anders moet doen aan het ander apparaat. In de tijd dat ze stond te wachten tot dat vrij kwam had ze me 3 keer kunnen helpen. Tijd voor een cursus klantvriendelijkheid voor die dame, lijkt mij. Nice spacious library, but the range in English is limited and is hardly updated. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful, but unfortunately there are a few exceptions that completely fit the old-fashioned image of the squeamish librarian. Another unpleasant experience today. Saying hello is apparently not appreciated and if you ask an employee who is waiting in line behind you at the loan/collection computer if she can help you, you get the answer that she must first do something else on the other device. In the time she was waiting for that to be released she could have helped me 3 times. Time for a customer-friendliness course for that lady, I think.
