Novakova on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had so many problems with our membership with my friend, and when we thought it is finally taken care of and everything is fine, they charged us 35EUR twice even though the gym is closed now... I understand there is some problem in their system but there is nowhere to get in contact with anyone from BigGym, i tried calling the number and writing and email several time and no response... Big thumbs down on their communication, otherwise a nice gym.
T	Tom Downer on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice gym, as stated in the name, big and plenty of space. However, customer service is shockingly bad. There is no phone number to contact, my emails go unanswered, no replies on social media. For example, they asked for money during corona closures, I'm not sure if that's fair or even legal. They then indicated you could freeze membership indefinitely, which I did. I was then told that wasn't indefinite and only applied to when the gym was closed, which it didn't state when I froze my membership. I've asked to cancel my membership multiple times via mail or in person, but given the lack of responses, this has been impossible and an ongoing and unnecessary weight on my shoulders.
I	Isabel Klennert on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Scam - you are not getting 4 weeks for "free" at the beginning because you actually still pay the full year of your contract which only starts after your 4 "free" weeks. Then when you want to cancel you can only give one month notice after the year. So you end up paying the year and 2 months extra. Have also heard that they keep debiting money off your account even if you've cancelled, hope that doesn't happen to me.
S	Syd H on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic gym. Good equipment but it is time for a global maintenance. Staff are very friendly and kind, they are doing their best. But in terms of hygiene and sanitation, that is sometimes disappointing. Maybe its time for extra personal. It may invest a little more, as far as I am concerned, the contribution may increase, but please do not cut back on hygiene. Corona is coming and no hand soap in the toilets or at the sink. I love Biggym and hope our reviews help to keep it the best gym in the city.

There is no communication between the headquarter and the various Big Gym facilities. positive note: the staff at Big Gym Groningen is kind and always available to help you (although most of the time they cannot)

However, when I wanted to cancel my subscription they had me fill a form and said it was done. Months later I get emails that I need to pay for 3 months worth of fees. It takes half a week (the first time three weeks) to get an email response and the staff in person just pretend they don't know anything. They keep forcing me to pay for those months despite the fact I filled in a form when I unsubscribed and now they're telling me I can't because I didn't pay? Why was I not told I had to pay when I unsubscribed in person and why do they want money from me? They're asking for money even though they said that by filling in the form that I am unsubscribed now. Really unprofessional and fraudulent attempts to take my money. I have nothing against the gym's staff. Why do they have to ruin their reputation like that. Until they finally unsubscribe me and stop wrongfully asking for my money I will not update my review.
Z	Zhanna on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Like the name states pretty big (that's what she said) gym. With a lot of equipment. Didn't try out the group lessons yet, so don't have an opinion on that one yet. Nice colors. Times I visited wasn't really busy, felt pretty nice to have some space (not only due to Covid, introverts might find it also a nice detail). Hope that all will go well with the subscription: have a flexible one. With this one you need to stay with the gym for minimum of 2 months and later you can stop your subscription if needed per month, only need to inform until a certain day of the month (it is up to your starting day I suppose).
