★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We knew our bikes were old, but after just glancing at them for a few seconds, Buddy was able to tell us a LOT about them. Bottom line, they are 50+ years old and, as buddy put it, "near the end of their lives" as parts just don't exist to really fix them. But we asked him to make some adjustments to make them usable, if even for not much longer, and when we returned to pick them up the next day, he refused to take any money for the work. And, he took a good 20 minutes of his time telling us how best to shop for a used bike. I am SO grateful that we happened to go to his shop. He does sell beautiful, quality new bikes and if you give him the opportunity, he'll explain exactly why he offers the ones he does over others. If we are ever in the market for a new bike in Amsterdam, Buddy's Bike Laboratory is where we will spend our money.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is great. Barry knows bikes like nobody I've ever met. Super nice guy and after sending him my bike for a service, it rides like a dream. Cannot recommend highly enough. Worth the trip on the ferry and walking home to Oude-West so Barry and Clyde could work on my bike. Thanks, guys!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went here to fix the bike after a pretty bad accident. The guys at the shop know what they're doing, and on top of that very lovely and fun! The bike is fixed, the price was great, wouldn't go anywhere else in the whole of Amsterdam
